WHAT IS PLACEMAKING?

Creative Placemaking is a people-centered approach to building strong, vibrant communities. It helps communities achieve economic development and population growth through cultural and entrepreneurial amenities, concepts, and catalytic projects.

WHAT KIND OF WORK WILL ALCHEMY BE DOING?

Stevens Point is a dynamic community known for its compelling quality of life and commitment to environmental sustainability and green practices. Home to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, the city has a strong arts sector and serves as the retail hub for its region.

Working alongside the city, Atlas, assisted by CREATE Portage County, will help define a new vision for Stevens Point using a people-centered approach to community and economic development.

Through this process, Atlas will help Stevens Point with:

  • Community Visioning and Stakeholder Outreach
  • Community Assessment
  • Stevens Point Strategic Plan
  • Implementation Action Plan
