COVID-19 has put rural America in a challenging position. The virus has exposed genuine threats to our communities from the digital divide, the precarious state of healthcare, and the disruption of critical supply chains.

Now is the time to rethink how brownfield sites can be reimagined to make our communities more sustainable, more resilient, and more responsive to the demands of businesses and talent in a post-COVID world.

On August 5, 2020, Alchemy held a peer exchange with Impact7G and the Brownfields Assistance Center at WVU to hear about land reuse strategies and economic and demographic trends driving these opportunities.
